In partnership with the nonprofit organization Vision Is Priceless, Florida Eye Specialists’ non-profit organization called Florida Eye Cares is proud to bring free eye care clinics to the Jacksonville community. Dr. Kenzo Koike provided his services for the most recent event to help those in need.

One patient, Ms. Luz Irizarry, had been negatively impacted by COVID-19. She was thrilled to hear about the program. Since her hours had been cut as a Duval County Schools bus driver, she had no healthcare and was experiencing increased financial difficulty.

The Florida Eye Specialists staff impressed her with their high quality of patient care and kindness. She was finally able to get the updated glasses prescription she needed to see clearly.

Another patient, Mr. Richard Damon, initially came to Florida Eye Specialists in August for a screening. He had been struggling with near and distance vision, needed glasses, but was unable to afford them.

Unfortunately, following his screening, he suffered from a stroke. Following his recovery in the hospital, the staff at Florida Eye Specialists invited him to this next clinic. He was very grateful and happy to finally have an appointment to get a new pair of bifocals.

In total this year, Florida Eye Specialists’ foundation called Florida Eye Cares, has helped serve 129 community patients in need through the Vision Is Priceless partnership. The doctors and staff look forward to helping many more.

Florida Eye Specialists firmly believes in everyone’s right to clear vision. That’s why they created their nonprofit Florida Eye Cares. Learn more about the organization and their dedication to providing excellence in eye care to everyone in the Jacksonville community.
