Patient Stories
“When I go out for a walk, I can see the trees and see the detail. I can see the colors. I can see everything.”
- Howard Jacobsen
“Before coming here, I could only see shadows. I had the surgery, and everything came out very good. I can actually see, I can read, I can drive a car — I can do everything I used to do when I was young. I think I can see better now than I could before with the lenses they put in.”
- Lee Bowman
“Everybody in the facility was wonderful and friendly. Dr. Freidl came in, assured me everything was going to be fine, and told me what the procedure was going to be. The next morning, I could read up close. About the next day or two, I was able to see far away. It took about five days before I saw totally clearly.”
- Kathy
“I absolutely believe Dr. Lott has saved my vision. If I weren’t getting treatment, I’d probably be legally blind… The impact on my life has been huge. It allows me to stay employed and independent, enjoy nature or even just watch TV.”
- Dennis Sanderson
“As a professional golfer and golf broadcast analyst, I needed clear eyesight to do my job effectively, and more importantly, to fully enjoy everyday life. It wasn’t until after my cataract surgery things seemed to get back to normal. What a relief to see things clearly again.”
- Mark McCumber, PGA Tour Champion
“I used to have to wear glasses for everything, now I almost never need my readers. I’m so thankful I got it done. I’d love to thank Dr. Shetty. He really cares about people, and that kind of doctor is hard to find… He’ll be my eye doctor forever.”
- Barbara Oukrop
“I wanted blended vision. I didn’t want to go through all of this and still have to wear glasses for one thing or the other. The Light Adjustable Lens gave me that flexibility. If the blended vision didn’t work, we could just adjust it. That’s what made me feel comfortable moving forward.”
- Holly Carver
“The whole group, everyone is really great and professional. Dr. Riordan is always supportive, and she’s always available whenever you have questions. She’s knowledgeable, helpful and on time. It’s just been great.”
- Joanna Schneider
“I appreciate the care Dr. Freidl takes of me, as well as the education that she shares with me. The one eye that I have left is very important to me, and I feel like it is just as important to her, too. She doesn’t make me feel like a number; she is proud of what she does, and she should be! I am glad to be in her care.”
- Craig Donovan
“The light adjustable lens not only kept me from needing glasses — the adjustments were able to actually get my vision better than it had ever been. I can see better now than I have ever seen in my life.”
- Evelyn Cagle
“The one thing I have to say after the surgery: my vision improved tremendously. I must have been a terror on the road, because I can’t believe how much more I see in my peripheral vision that I wasn’t seeing before — that I didn’t know I wasn’t seeing before. If someone asked me about moving forward with the surgery, I would definitely move forward.”
- Janet Quattrochi
“It was very quick and painless, and the impact was immediately noticeable after the surgery. You could keep fine-tuning the adjustment — it took mine twice, and after the second month it was very comfortable.”
- Engin Serpersu
“Dr. Kostick helped me regain my confidence and prevented any further damage to my vision. I can’t thank him enough. I am finally free from my eye discomfort and am actively gaining my confidence back each day.”
- Anonymous Patient
“Without my glasses, the world was nothing but a blur. I could not read anything, I could not drive, I could not watch television or be on the computer. I could do nothing without my glasses… I feel like my vision has been restored.”
- Kathy Pumphrey
