Glaucoma is a group of eye diseases that can damage the optic nerve and result in gradual vision loss or permanent blindness if left untreated. While some patients have this eye disease on its own, glaucoma can also occur as a secondary condition.
Dr. Freidl sat down with local TV news station News4Jax to raise awareness about glaucoma and promote a day of free vision screenings in honor of World Sight Day, which was celebrated on October 13.
Dr. Freidl was featured in the Jacksonville Daily Record for being the first ophthalmologist in Northeast Florida to perform cataract surgery with the Vivity Lens.
