Dr. Kimberly Riordan is the head of Florida Eye Specialists’ Dry Eye Center at our San Marco location, in addition to being a Florida Board-Certified optometrist. Her experience in the eye care field dates back to 2005, when she began her program at the Illinois College of Optometry and later went on to obtain her Doctorate of Optometry.
Upon graduating from the Illinois College of Optometry, Dr. Riordan also completed a residency at the William Chappell Jr. VA in Daytona Beach, Florida. Here, she specialized in Primary Care and provided all of her patients with the highest standard of care.
Dr. Riordan is also a big football fan! Her favorite teams are the Jaguars and the Bears. She enjoys spending time watching games with her friends and family.
Professional Expertise
Today, Dr. Riordan is a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry as well as a member of the American Optometric Association. She is also a proud member of both the Florida Optometric Association and Northeast Florida Optometric Society. Specifically, she enjoys practicing in primary care and ocular disease, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of Dry Eyes. She also performs contact lens fitting for hard-to-fit contacts, such as in patients with corneal degeneration or other eye conditions that make wearing traditional contacts difficult or uncomfortable.
The patients who see Dr. Riordan enjoy the personalized level of care and attention she gives. She always takes the time to explain procedures and treatments to patients to ensure they’re comfortable before moving on with any specific treatment. Furthermore, she is always happy to sit down and answer any questions or concerns patients may have. Ultimately, her goal is to help patients achieve better eye health and to make them feel as comfortable as possible during their appointments.
