Irene T. Lee, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist with ASOPRS fellowship training in Oculofacial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery. She specializes in functional and aesthetic surgery of the eyelids, eyebrows, face, tear ducts, and eye sockets.

Dr. Lee graduated summa cum laude from Rice University and was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. She earned her medical degree from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City, where she first discovered her love for oculoplastic surgery. This led her to pursue ophthalmology residency at Vanderbilt Eye Institute, where she served as chief resident. She went on to complete a prestigious two-year ASOPRS-accredited fellowship in Oculofacial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at Duke Eye Center.

Throughout her training, Dr. Lee has been committed to advancing her field through clinical and basic science research, co-authoring numerous peer-reviewed publications and presenting at national conferences.

Dr. Lee is known for her warm, attentive approach and her ability to combine an artistic eye with precise surgical skill. She takes time to listen closely, understand each patient’s goals, and create personalized treatment plans that achieve natural, beautiful results.

In her spare time, Dr. Lee enjoys traveling internationally, hiking with her husband, exercising, cooking, and tending to her indoor plants.
